For all those who are wondering what to do, where to eat (my favorite part of traveling) and what to visit while you’re in the great city of Atlanta, I thought I’d share a few of my favorites with you real quick. Don’t go telling everyone now, I’d rather not have to wait in line or anything!<\/p>\n

Eat:<\/p>\n

*Parrish Food & Goods<\/a>. New Orleans inspired, southern food. Fresh and delicious. We ate there on Christmas Eve, and my fried chicken, grits and beans were to-die-for good. Plus the decor is beautiful and cozy!<\/p>\n

*Tin Lizzies<\/a> – I’m totally obsessed with Mexican food, and this place has the best chips, guacamole, and cheese dip around. Plus lots of creative and delicious tacos and other “modern” Mexican fare.<\/p>\n

*If you watched Top Chef,<\/a> you know that 3 of this season’s contestants were from Atlanta: Eli – Eno<\/a>; Hector – Pure Vida<\/a>; Kevin – Woodfire Grill<\/a>.<\/p>\n

*Like Thai food? Try Spoon<\/a>. Trust me.<\/p>\n

*I’m letting you in on a little secret here, so don’t spread this one around too much (I enjoy ordering and eating in minutes) The perfect lunch spot, Eats <\/a>has delectable Jerk Chicken, Turkey meatloaf, vegetables, pasta and more. And large portions at small prices. What more could you ask for?<\/p>\n

Things to do in Atlanta:<\/p>\n

*The Georgia aquarium is offering Americasmart guests 10% off admission. Visit here <\/a>for more info.<\/p>\n

*Want to walk around, enjoy the frigid weather? Me neither, but just in case: Piedmont Park<\/a>, Centennial Olympic Park<\/a>, Atlantic Station<\/a>.<\/p>\n

*Check out a Thrashers <\/a>game or a Hawks <\/a>game.<\/p>\n

*And if you’re obsessed with Diet Coke, like I might be, you can always visit the World of Coke<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I could keep going with activity ideas, but I know how exhausting shows can be, and I’ll be impressed if you do anything besides eat and sleep on your off time.<\/p>\n
