Product Spotlight: New E+E Bust Collection

For over 25 years, Accent Decor has asserted itself as the destination for design-forward flower, plant and home products at attainable price points. In 2018, the exclusive Eric + Eloise (E+E) collection was introduced to the acclaim of customers who eagerly embraced the story and its whimsical characters. Accompanying home accents including wall mounts, unique tableware and playful decorative objects captivated customers, propelling E+E as a best-selling collection. This season, Accent Decor proudly unveiled new E+E products, much to the delight of eager customers ready to experience their favorite characters in new forms. One of the newest introductions, the E+E Bust Collection, has received an early and enthusiastic response from customers longing to display and sell the characters in fresh, new ways.

The Origin Story

Toronto artist, writer and designer, Jessica Hiemstra, is the heart of E+E. Hiemstra, niece of Accent Decor founders Frank & Margaret Hofland, created the story of an unlikely friendship between a fox and a hare by taking inspiration from old Scandinavian folktales about holiday magic and the beauty of the natural world. From her storybook pages, Eric and Eloise were brought to life by our in-house product development designers and artisan partners in India and China. 

Each character is reminiscent of people in Hiemstra’s life. Eloise the Fox has a quiet, quirky persona, based on our President & Chief Creative Officer Sarah Bagle (& Hiemstra’s cousin). The friendly, bespeckled Frankie the Buck is inspired by our co-founder Frank Hofland. Margie the Doe, with her stylish necktie & elegant, cat-eyeglasses, has a striking likeness to our co-founder Margaret Hofland!

NEW E+E Bust Collection

The new E+E Bust Collection transforms five of our best-selling wall mount decor into whimsical busts complete with their fashionable party outfits. Each bust is of medium scale size, ideal for a mantle or shelf. Comprised of the same recycled cast aluminum in antique gold as its wall mount and decorative object companions, the new busts beautifully match back. The playful roster of characters include:
