Renowned women-led creative agency and floral studio East Olivia has teamed up with Accent Decor to collaborate on a pink color refresh of the Brooklyn Vase, a long-standing best-seller.
The Brooklyn Vase is a floral essential thoughtfully crafted to cater to the specific needs of floral professionals. Its simple form effortlessly enhances both fresh and dried floral arrangements with a sleek, modern style. The Brooklyn Collection features a range of openings, from 2.75” to 3.75”, making it perfect for medium-sized arrangements. This allows floral designers to create striking displays without needing an excessive number of stems. While the design of the Brooklyn Vase is clean and uncomplicated, it features a subtly organic and slightly imperfect rim with a smooth finish. Its timeless aesthetic and affordable price point make it a versatile choice that can be used repeatedly.
A Perfectly Pink Partnership
When our Product Development Team ventured into New York City’s flower district for a design trip, they were captivated by a vibrant array of florals, colors, and textures. A highlight of the trip was visiting East Olivia, a renowned, innovative, women-led creative agency and floral studio founded by Kelsea Gaynor. Known for their immersive installations and signature “Forever Florals,” East Olivia is a dynamic leader in the floral industry. Kelsea’s unique color stories and sharp entrepreneurial skills have caught the attention of world-class brands and consumers alike. During the visit, the teams from East Olivia and Accent Decor exchanged valuable feedback and generated exciting new ideas.
“The entire East Olivia Team is incredibly knowledgeable and beyond inspirational. During our visit, we discussed everything from innovative ways to utilize our products to feedback on the ideal opening sizes and dimensions for everyday vessels,” shared Woods. “They’re big fans of our Brooklyn Vase, and when the idea of revitalizing this long-time favorite in a new color came up, we immediately embraced it! And who better to collaborate with?”
The Final Hue
With a goal to update the Brooklyn Vase in an East Olivia-approved pink, Kelsea Gaynor and the Accent Decor team worked together to find the perfect shade. Throughout the collaborative process, several iterations of the pink hue were explored until the perfect color was achieved. The final result, playfully described by Woods as “a little bubble gum, a little sophisticated Barbie,” strikes a balance between fun and sophistication. It’s not overly bright but has a warm undertone that complements a wide range of floral colors and pairs beautifully with warm whites and soft pinks.
