In the ever-evolving world of interior design and fashion, a fresh and vibrant trend has emerged, bringing bursts of color and natural beauty into our living spaces and personal style: fruit-inspired motifs. This joyful trend uses fruits, colors, and shapes to create a lively and refreshing ambiance. Thanks to cheerful colors of red, yellow, orange with pops of cream and green, the lively and vibrant palette offers a welcomed change from longstanding neutral hues. In celebration of this 2024 home decor trend, our new Fruit Collection provides artful and whimsical wholesale decor for floral designers, home and gift shops and trendy plant shops alike.

“Fruit home decor sparks a feeling of nostalgia as it nods to the vintage fruit vessels once trendy in the 60s. Our collection is modern, intentionally designed and finished with hand-painted details and reactive glazing,” explained Caroline Woods, Design Manager at Accent Decor. “We interpreted fruit in a variety of forms and product types so customers can seamlessly integrate the trend within it their business. Fruit candleholders, tabletop, and vessels allows for a large statement moment or one special piece.”

Over time, our Product Development team observed the usage of fresh fruit within floral designs. The new fruit vessels are a playful way to ignite designer creativity and seamlessly support styling the trend. To illustrate the fun and beauty of design, Accent Decor tapped our flower friends in the Creative Cartel to capture their unique and diverse interpretations of the Fruit Collection to inspire ways to interpret this punchy trend
The Creative Cartel
Comprised of industry pros with unbridled passions for flowers, the Creative Cartel was founded by Jenny Thomasson. The progressive group of floral visionaries gathers throughout the year to develop new trends and concepts to infuse within the industry, aimed to keep the craft of floral design progressive and excitement filled. During a fateful meeting hosted in Accent Decor’s home office, the Cartel was exposed to early samples of the Fruit Collection. Inspiration struck and the group was energized with the playful pieces and limitless design opportunities.
“Through our collaboration conversations, we recognized that fruit was trickling into interiors and we wanted to bring more focus and emphasis on the creative floral aspect. The Fruit Collection offers just that.”

Design Philosophy // “My floral design philosophy centers on blending traditional with contemporary. The yellow flowers, chosen for this project, symbolize joy, optimism and positivity. The ceramic pineapple, a classic symbol of hospitality, together with the vibrant yellow blooms, creates a beautiful and fun floral arrangement, perfect for brightening any space.”
Design Approach // “My approach was focused in the belief that each arrangement should tell a story. For this specific arrangement, I chose the pineapple because it represents hospitality and a welcoming vibe. The decision to use yellow flowers was purposeful. They symbolize joy, optimism, and friendship. Yellow is a primary color that makes people smile. By combining these elements, I aimed to create a piece that brought a sense of warmth and inclusion. This design is intended to be more than a pretty arrangement; it’s a statement of the values I hold dear: joy, positivity, respect, happiness. From the vessel selection to the floral varieties, it was thoughtfully selected ensuring the final result was pleasant and meaningful.”

Design Philosophy // “I wanted to create a design with a quintessential summer feeling. I loved the strawberry containers and I immediately thought to incorporate watermelon. These two fruits give the essence of summer. With the addition of vibrant summer garden flowers, we have a winner.”
Design Approach // “I thought soft pinks would complement the vibrant red tones beautifully. So, with the addition of the flowers and the two fruits, we had some fun with textures and form. I decided to keep the design fairly simple allowing focus on the containers.”
