Each winter season, the New York Botanical Garden’s Annual Orchid Dinner summons a crowd of notables and New York Botanical Garden supporters for an enchanting evening of flowers, cocktails and a rare orchid sale in the Plaza Hotel’s historic grand ballroom. On February 22, patrons and supporters of the New York Botanical Garden celebrated the start of The Orchid Show: Florals in Fashion.  Proceeds benefitted the Garden’s global plant research and conservation initiatives, and programs in horticulture and education for all ages—all to help protect the Earth’s biodiversity.

Known for its transformative and immersive centerpieces and displays, the Orchid Dinner is a true celebration of flowers and floral artistry punctuated with elegant dining and entertainment. Every year, a hand-selected group of floral designers are tapped to create the floral installations the Orchid Dinner is known for. This year, Accent Decor partnered with some of the honored designers by providing the critical containers required to bring their visions to life. Each created a fashion inspired piece that transformed the ballroom into sculpture-garden-meets-fashion-runway. Accent Decor was also onsite capturing the hard work and magic poured into every flawless detail during set up and the dinner’s roll-out.
