The Starling Collection is expertly crafted in China in partnership with long-standing, family-run factory partners who specialize in artful finishes. Starling’s reactive glaze and finish is the collection’s key feature. “Each piece varies slightly because of the hand application and kiln placement when fired,” explained Woods. “The range of tones within the glaze are dynamic and surprisingly versatile, complementing a wide variety of color palettes. The result is an organic, textured finish. Each piece is beautiful enough for display in an open cupboard.”

The irregular shape of Starling’s plates is of-the-moment and allows the plate to function as both a small serving platter and individual dinner plate. For consumers with a particularly artful eye, the cereal bowls can contain floral arrangements. “We’ve also trend-spotted tabletop decor as wall decor, with curated plate or platter walls integrated gallery walls,” shared Woods.
