During a recent photoshoot for our Spring 2025 Flower Collection, a grass-inspired tablescape captivated both the Accent Decor photo team and our customer community. Designed to showcase the new Exquisite Candelabra alongside Accent Decor glassware, the table embraced the growing trend of using grass and greenery in place of traditional flowers, delivering a look that feels both romantic and refreshingly modern.
For those seeking a tablescape for event styling or inspirational grassy elements to incorporate into a custom design, we spoke with the creative minds behind the vision and execution: Rachel Bridgwood of Sweet Root Village and Amy McCoy.

“The tablescape is meadow-inspired and slightly untamed,” explained Rachel Bridgwood, Co-Founder of Sweet Root Village. “For the shoot, we had the advantage of designing for a stationary table, allowing us to focus primarily on one side. Recreating this look for a small dinner party versus a large event requires different approaches, but with thoughtful pre-event prep, it can be achieved.”
Tips for Recreating a Styled Grassy Tablescape

1. Place your large anchor product(s) on the table so grass placement can “wrap” around the product’s base.
2. Create a variety of grass bundles by looping them around your hand and securing each with a single rubber band. For added visual interest and depth, vary the amount of grass in each bundle and experiment with different lengths to achieve an organic look.
3. Place floral pin frogs on the tabletop to serve as anchor points for securing the grass bundles. Once you establish an initial layer, it becomes easier to weave in additional grass creating a fuller, more natural arrangement.
4. Intertwine the grass bundles, varying the density in different areas for added dimension. Use tape to hold the grass in place as you refine the design. While tape works well for styled tables, it may be more time-consuming for wedding or large-scale event setups.
5. Complete the tablescape by incorporating smaller vessels, flatware, glassware, and complementary décor. Adjust the grass bundles from all angles to ensure a balanced, final look.
Tips for Recreating a Wedding or Special Event Grassy Tablescape

1. Create a variety of grass bundles by looping them around your hand and securing each with a single rubber band. For added visual interest and depth, vary the amount of grass in each bundle and experiment with different lengths to achieve an organic look.
2. Create a sturdy base by combining garland mechanics with bind wire and rubber bands along a lead rope. For added support, consider using a chicken wire base mechanic covered with moss to help secure the grass bundles in place. Low, clear vessels filled with sand can also provide a stable foundation for anchoring the design.
3. Evaluate which elements can be pre-assembled to ensure stability during transportation while minimizing mess. Prioritizing secure mechanics will help maintain design integrity from setup to final placement.
